The Sefwi Bodi Calvary Methodist Church in the Afere Circuit, Sefwi Bekwai Diocese, has celebrated the ministry of Reverend Kingsley Frimpong Tandoh and his family with a special send-off service, marked by the dedication of a new pulpit he built for the congregation.
The service, which drew congregants, clergy, and well-wishers, reflected on Rev. Tandoh’s years of dedicated service to the Methodist Church and the spiritual guidance he offered to the Afere Circuit community.
In a symbolic gesture of his commitment, Rev. Tandoh constructed and presented a pulpit to the Sefwi Bodi Methodist Church. The structure was officially dedicated by Very Reverend Alex Asante Anom, Superintendent Minister of the Sefwi Dwenase Circuit, assisted by the Assistant Synod Secretary of the Bekwai Diocese.
Beyond the presentation, Rev. Tandoh used his farewell message to remind Christians of the importance of keeping God at the centre of their lives. Preaching on the theme “You Cannot Serve God and Wealth” (Luke 16:1–13), he cautioned believers against allowing material pursuits to overshadow their devotion to God.
“It is very sad that human beings have allowed many things to compete for their devotion to God, and wealth is one of the greatest obstacles. This is unacceptable in the sight of God,” he said.
The send-off was not only a farewell but also a celebration of the Reverend’s enduring legacy of faith, leadership, and service, with congregants expressing gratitude for his ministry and contributions to the growth of the church.
