Sightsavers Ghana, in partnership with the Ghana Blind Union, has celebrated the graduation of 45 young persons with disabilities from its digital and employable skills training programme under the RISEE project.
Funded by the Standard Chartered Foundation, the initiative aims to place 270 PWDs in sustainable jobs over three years. Sightsavers Country Representative David Agyemang emphasized that inclusion is not charity but an opportunity for businesses to benefit from diverse talents.
Employers were urged to open their doors to PWDs, while plans for further training in digital entrepreneurship and high-demand industries were announced.
