Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is currently abroad for a short period of rest and recovery, following medical advice, according to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State for Government Communications.
In an interview with Channel One TV on April 8, 2025, Kwakye Ofosu provided reassurance to the public, stating that the Vice President is in good health and recuperating well in the United Kingdom. He further confirmed that Opoku-Agyemang had been receiving medical attention since falling ill after completing official duties on March 28, 2025. Initially treated at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), she was later flown abroad for additional care.
“She is in good health and will be resuming her duties soon,” Kwakye Ofosu added, offering confidence that her recovery is progressing as expected.
