VIP Jeoun Transport CEO Yaw Amponsah Marfo, widely known as Agya Wiase, has gifted one of his most dedicated workers a bus worth an estimated GH₵500,000, in recognition of over a decade of faithful service.
The driver, Florence Marfo, is the first and only female driver in Agya Wiase’s fleet. Since 2015, Florence has been behind the wheel of VIP buses, covering long-distance routes between Accra and destinations including Kumasi, Techiman, and Wa.
According to Florence, she recently spent close to a year off work battling a prolonged illness, and when she finally recovered, her mother fell sick, and she stepped away again to serve as her caregiver, only to lose her mother in the end.
Speaking in an interview, a visibly emotional Florence described the moment her boss changed her life.
“Agya Wiase has gifted a bus to me. If you ever see him, kindly thank him for me,” she said.
She revealed that her boss told her why she deserved it because in all her years driving under him; she had never once caused him to incur a debt.
Florence, who turns 49 on April 28, 2026, said she does not know the exact purchase price of the vehicle but noted that insurance companies would value it at between GH₵400,000 and GH₵500,000 for comprehensive coverage.
