Ghana’s communications industry is gaining renewed recognition as Women in PR Ghana (WiPR) celebrates ten outstanding professionals for their influence, innovation, and leadership in the field.
The 2025 edition of the “Top 10 Women in PR” initiative highlights individuals who are not only shaping strategic communication across sectors but also mentoring the next generation of female professionals.
According to WiPR Ghana President, Ms Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny, this year’s honourees exemplify excellence through impactful campaigns and a strong commitment to developing emerging talent. She noted that their work reflects the growing importance of public relations in driving organisational success and national development.
The recognised professionals come from diverse sectors including banking, development, public service, and corporate communications—demonstrating the expanding role of PR in today’s interconnected world.
Industry experts involved in the selection process described the competition as highly rigorous, with nominees assessed on experience, measurable impact, innovation, and contributions to the profession. Judges also emphasised the importance of visibility and professional branding, encouraging practitioners to better showcase their achievements.
Beyond recognition, the initiative continues to serve as a platform to promote mentorship, leadership, and the advancement of women within Ghana’s communications landscape.
WiPR Ghana says the programme remains a key effort to strengthen the profession while inspiring more women to take up leadership roles and drive meaningful change in the industry.
