Young people have been encouraged to deepen their faith and dedicate their lives to serving God and positively influencing their peers.
The call was made by Evangelist Agbetum Kudzo during a youth retreat held at Sokode-Gbogame under the theme “Agents of Salvation.”
Addressing participants, the evangelist urged the youth to recognise their role in spreading the message of salvation, explaining that God often works through those who have already experienced His saving grace.
“God needs saved channels to save others,” he said, encouraging the young people to actively make themselves available for God’s purpose rather than practising passive faith.
Mr Kudzo emphasised that believers who sought to influence others must maintain a strong relationship with Christ, whom he described as the source of salvation. According to him, a consistent spiritual life would enable young Christians to positively impact those around them.
He also encouraged participants to pursue what he described as daily salvation by living disciplined and God-directed lives, warning against behaviours he referred to as “refined sins” that could undermine their witness.
The evangelist expressed concern about what he described as increasing moral decline in society, attributing it to sin and stressing that humanity required the saving message of Christ.
Mr Kudzo urged the youth to return to their communities as transformed individuals capable of guiding others and influencing their generation through positive Christian values.
The three-day retreat, which attracted young people from different parts of the country, featured prayer sessions, teachings and spiritual activities aimed at strengthening the participants’ faith and leadership.
