The Manwe Traditional Council has commended the Member of Parliament for Wa East, Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw, and District Chief Executive, Mr. Sayibu Adamu, for what it describes as impactful development interventions improving education and infrastructure in the constituency.
In a message signed by the Paramount Chief of Manwe, Naa Alhaji Yussif Abubakari Wiah I, the Council praised the recent commissioning and handover of a newly constructed three-unit classroom block in Manwe, describing it as a major boost to education in the area.
The Council noted that the project was completed within four months—well ahead of the initial eight-month timeline—highlighting the contractor’s efficiency in delivering quality work.
Traditional leaders also expressed appreciation for the donation of 1,000 pieces of school furniture to the District Directorate of Education, saying the intervention would significantly improve classroom conditions and enhance learning for students.
In addition, the Council lauded Dr. Jasaw for releasing GH₵75,000 from his share of the MP’s Common Fund to support road improvement efforts in the district. The funds are expected to fuel grader machines to help open up critical roads and improve accessibility for communities.
The Council described the projects as clear signs of committed leadership and effective collaboration between the MP and the DCE, noting that residents were already feeling the impact of the interventions.
It also pledged to protect and maintain the new facilities to ensure they continue serving future generations.
According to the Council, the continued focus on education and infrastructure development is helping secure a brighter future for children and residents across Wa East.
