Dominican Republic’s Joheirry Mola has been crowned Miss World 2026, bringing the international spotlight to a model whose work extends beyond the fashion industry to education and youth empowerment.
Mola, from Santo Domingo, emerged as the winner of the prestigious global pageant held in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on September 5, 2026.
Her profile combines modelling, education and social advocacy, with the new Miss World using her platform to support children and young people through skills development and confidence-building initiatives.
According to the Miss World organisation, Mola holds a degree in Business Management and Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE).
Beyond her modelling career, she works as a teacher and leads Voices of Tomorrow, a social initiative dedicated to supporting children and young people.
Through the initiative, Mola works to help young people develop confidence, acquire essential skills and prepare themselves for future opportunities and challenges in an increasingly interconnected world.
Her advocacy reflects an emphasis on giving young people opportunities to develop beyond basic needs, particularly through inclusion, education and personal development.
“This project is based on the belief that our children deserve much more than the basics,” Mola said, according to the Miss World organisation.
“They deserve opportunities that build inclusion, confidence, and a strong foundation for the future.”
Mola’s victory therefore places her youth-focused advocacy at the centre of her new role as Miss World, giving her an international platform to further promote opportunities for children and young people.
Her background in business management, teaching and social development also adds a multidimensional dimension to her reign, as she takes on the responsibilities associated with one of the world’s most recognised beauty titles.
