The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dispatched a high-ranking delegation, led by its National Chairman, Asiedu Nketia, to the People’s Republic of China for a strategic political engagement with the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The visit, aimed at deepening bilateral ties, will focus on a range of collaborative efforts, including the strengthening of local governance structures in Ghana, expanding party-to-party relationships, and creating exchange programs for the youth wings of both political parties.
Beyond political collaboration, the NDC delegation is also expected to explore potential economic and investment opportunities with their Chinese counterparts, reflecting a broader agenda of mutual development and international partnership.
During Nketia’s absence, National Vice Chairman Awudu Sofo Azorka will assume the role of acting chairman, ensuring continuity in the party’s leadership back home.
The NDC team is expected to return to Ghana on May 17, 2025, after what insiders describe as a critical mission to bolster political cooperation and economic collaboration between the two nations.
