In a strong message to government appointees serving under President John Dramani Mahama, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called for unwavering focus, humility, and integrity in public service.
During a visit to Jubilee House on June 2, Otumfuo emphasized that the trust placed in these officials by both the president and the Ghanaian people carries great responsibility. He reminded them that their actions and dedication would directly influence public perception of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
“President Mahama has made it clear that corruption has no place in his government,” Otumfuo said, urging appointees to reject any form of malfeasance and instead work diligently to advance the nation’s development. “Your commitment will define the success of this government and bring honour not only to the NDC but to Ghana as a whole.”
The traditional ruler’s counsel comes as a reaffirmation of his longstanding advocacy for accountable governance and national progress, encouraging officials to embrace their duties with sincerity and purpose as Ghana navigates its path forward under President Mahama’s leadership.
