Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has pledged to give everything for Ghana after earning a place in the country’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The in-form shot-stopper, who has impressed with his performances in the Ghana Premier League, described his selection as a dream come true and expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to his football journey.
Shortly after the squad announcement, Asare took to social media to share an emotional message, highlighting the pride and responsibility that come with representing Ghana on football’s biggest stage.
“With the deepest humility and gratitude, I thank God and everyone who made this journey possible. To be given the opportunity to represent Ghana on football’s greatest stage is an honour beyond words,” he wrote.
The goalkeeper also promised to give his all whenever called upon, stressing his commitment to the Black Stars and the aspirations of Ghanaians.
“I wear this badge with pride, and I pledge to give everything I have, every save, every drop of sweat, and every breath, for my motherland. For Ghana. For the Black Star. For the dream of a nation,” he stated.
Asare is among the three goalkeepers selected by head coach Carlos Queiroz for the tournament, where Ghana will be seeking to make a strong impression on the global stage.
