In a significant step towards enhancing educational access in the Ada East District, the No Limits Charity Organisation has provided free school uniforms to pupils at Big-Ada D/A and Alorkpem Community Basic Schools. This initiative is part of the organisation’s ongoing “Uniform for the Needy Child” project, aimed at supporting vulnerable children across Ghana by addressing one of the basic barriers to education—lack of proper school attire.
The donation has not only lifted the spirits of the recipients but also reinforced the community’s commitment to inclusive and equitable education, aligning with the global Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which advocates for quality education for all children.
Executive Director Ms. Rita Esionam Garglo highlighted that the organisation’s efforts extend beyond mere material support. “Providing uniforms helps restore dignity and confidence among these children, enabling them to attend school with pride and focus,” she explained in a recent interview.
Since its inception, the project has distributed over 3,000 uniforms across multiple regions, including Volta, Central, Savannah, Oti, and Greater Accra. The latest distribution in Ada East was met with heartfelt gratitude from school authorities, parents, and local leaders, who praised the initiative’s positive impact on educational participation.
Key community figures such as Queen Mother Naana Kabukuor Dagojo Dumaaley I, Madam Catherine Dela Dzivenu, and Assembly Member Mr. Evans Lawer Adusu have played vital roles in supporting and promoting the project locally. Their involvement underscores the importance of community collaboration in driving sustainable educational progress.
As the “Uniform for the Needy Child” project continues to foster safe and supportive learning environments, the No Limits Charity Organisation urges individuals, corporate bodies, and development partners to join forces and expand this life-changing programme. Together, they hope to reach more underserved schools nationwide, ensuring that every child can pursue their education without the barrier of inadequate schoolwear.
