The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has dismissed recent reports circulating about new cocoa prices as false, clarifying that no such announcement has been made.
In a statement released by its Public Affairs Department, COCOBOD explained that due to the absence of a Board of Directors, no decision regarding the adjustment of cocoa prices could be taken. Furthermore, the Board stated that a new producer price for cocoa could only be declared after the formation of the Producer Price Review Committee, which has yet to be constituted.
COCOBOD urged the public to disregard the unverified reports and emphasized that any official announcements regarding cocoa prices will come through proper channels.
