The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has issued an urgent alert warning the public against a fraudulent online recruitment scheme circulating under the guise of an official protocol recruitment exercise. The scam, operating through a fake portal golernershub.com, falsely promises job opportunities to unsuspecting applicants.

GIS clarified that no government-approved recruitment is currently underway and that any legitimate hiring announcements will be made exclusively via official GIS channels and credible national media outlets.

Authorities, including the GIS Intelligence Section in collaboration with national security agencies, have launched investigations to identify and apprehend those responsible for the scam.

The public is strongly urged to ignore communications from unauthorized sources and to report suspicious activities to prevent falling victim to cyber fraud. The warning highlights increasing concerns over fake job offers exploiting vulnerable citizens, particularly young people seeking employment.
