The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has reported a significant surge in the country’s gold exports and revenues for the first quarter of 2025, reflecting a robust performance in the mining sector.
According to the latest data, both the volume and value of gold exports have seen substantial increases compared to the same periods in 2023 and 2024. This upward trend suggests a promising outlook for the remainder of the year, as Ghana continues to solidify its position as one of the world’s top gold producers.
Industry analysts attribute the strong performance to a combination of favorable global gold prices, improved production capacity, and streamlined export processes that have boosted the sector’s efficiency.
With the current trajectory, Ghana’s gold industry is expected to remain a critical pillar of the country’s economic growth, contributing significantly to foreign exchange reserves and employment.
