The General Jurisdiction 2 division of the High Court in Accra has granted bail to Frederick Kumi in the sum of GH¢30 million with two justified sureties.
Frederick Kumi, widely known as Abu Trica, has been in police custody since December 2025 after his arrest in connection with an extradition request from the United States over alleged romance fraud charges.
The case was first handled at the District Court, where he was remanded into custody pending further proceedings.
However, his legal team later applied to the High Court for bail, leading to the latest ruling.
Speaking to Citi News, one of his lawyers, Saani Abdul Salam, said efforts were underway to satisfy the bail conditions set by the court.
The extradition case is expected to continue after the bail requirements are fulfilled.
