Luka Doncic produced a standout performance against his former team, delivering a triple-double to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 107-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at Crypto.com Arena.
In his first matchup against Dallas since being traded earlier this month, Doncic contributed 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists, playing a crucial role in securing the Lakers’ third consecutive win. Reflecting on the emotional return, the 25-year-old admitted the experience felt surreal.
“I didn’t even know what was happening in the first half,” Doncic told TNT. “It was just different. I can’t even explain it. I’m just happy we got the win.”
LeBron James led the scoring for the Lakers with 27 points, while Kyrie Irving kept the Mavericks competitive with a game-high 35 points. The win keeps the Lakers in fourth place in the Western Conference, while Dallas sits in ninth.
Elsewhere in the NBA, the Memphis Grizzlies edged out the Phoenix Suns 151-148 in overtime, solidifying their position in second place in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers extended their winning streak to 10 games with a commanding 122-82 victory over the Orlando Magic, strengthening their hold on the top spot in the East.
Despite 27 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks fell to a 100-97 defeat against the Houston Rockets in a tightly contested matchup.
