Musician Mzbel has strongly refuted viral reports claiming that King Promise engaged in inappropriate behavior toward her in a recording studio, describing the allegations as “shocking” and entirely false.
Speaking on United Showbiz, Mzbel said she has never met King Promise in her life and expressed frustration over how such stories can damage reputations. “I woke up and saw the news card… I have never met King Promise in my life. These things have been done to me over the years and have hurt my reputation,” she stated.
The musician became emotional while recounting similar experiences during Ghana’s National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaigns in 2016 and 2020, where her silence on controversial trends allegedly led to missed opportunities and reduced access to John Dramani Mahama, with whom she was once close.
Mzbel’s statement underscores the ongoing challenges public figures face in combating false narratives and protecting their credibility in the age of viral social media claims.
