Ghanaian media personality MzGee has called on women in the media fraternity, particularly those in Kumasi and across the Ashanti Region, to rally behind broadcaster Ama Parone following the circulation of a private video involving her and DJ KA on social media.
In a Facebook post, MzGee urged colleagues to offer emotional support instead of judging or abandoning the television personality, saying the incident had already caused enough harm.
“Ladies/Women in the Media in Kumasi, Ashanti Region in general, please let’s reach out to the young lady journalist in the leaked sex tape. She needs help, solace and support,” she wrote.
She appealed for empathy, noting that Ama Parone was likely dealing with the emotional impact of the incident.
“The harm has been done, I am sure she’s regretted this, let’s not throw her away. Let’s show her some compassion. DM her number if you have it,” MzGee added.
Her appeal comes after a private video involving Ama Parone and DJ KA surfaced online and quickly spread across social media platforms, attracting widespread public attention.
MzGee’s intervention has shifted the conversation toward the need for compassion, emotional support and solidarity for individuals whose private lives become the subject of public scrutiny through the non-consensual circulation of intimate content.
