The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has introduced an online membership registration platform aimed at making it easier for Ghanaians to join the party.
General Secretary Justin Frimpong Koduah said the digital system was created to address challenges faced by individuals who are unable to register at their polling stations due to time constraints.
Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, March 12, he explained that the platform allows any Ghanaian interested in joining the party to sign up online as part of efforts to broaden participation in the party’s activities.
According to him, the introduction of the digital platform does not replace the traditional registration process but will rather complement it.
To ensure wider access, he announced that physical registration at polling stations will also be conducted on weekends throughout March.
Koduah emphasised that while the system is open to all applicants, strict verification measures will be applied before individuals are permitted to vote or contest in the party’s internal elections.
He noted that the verification process would help maintain the integrity of the party’s register and ensure that only duly approved members participate in internal electoral processes.
The NPP’s new digital registration initiative forms part of broader efforts by the party to modernise its membership system and make participation more accessible to supporters across the country and abroad.
