National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Abanga Yakubu Fuseini, has set a 100-day target to establish a strong party presence in at least six to seven regions as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and prepare the party for the next general election.
He said his immediate priority was to consolidate the party’s structures across the country and position the youth wing to play a more active role in the NPP’s electoral campaign.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Mr Fuseini said he was working intensively to achieve the target within his first 100 days in office.
“In my first 100 days in office, I want to capture a lot of regions, at least six to seven regions fully. I am actively working day and night,” he said.
The target signals an early push by the new youth leadership to expand the party’s organisational reach and strengthen its presence at the regional and grassroots levels.
Mr Fuseini also urged party supporters, particularly the youth, to remain committed to the NPP and continue working towards its objectives, assuring them that dedication and consistency could open up opportunities within the party.
“I am grateful to all my supporters for voting for me to win. Consistency works in the NPP, so as a youth, if you are working for the party, my advice is that you continue the hard work and your reward will come to you,” he said.
Beyond internal organisation, the National Youth Organiser called on young party members to serve as ambassadors for former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia by communicating his record in public office and explaining his policy proposals to Ghanaians.
He said effective communication of Dr Bawumia’s achievements and plans for the country would be important in building public support ahead of the next general election.
Mr Fuseini’s proposed regional mobilisation drive is expected to form part of the NPP youth wing’s broader efforts to strengthen party unity, energise its grassroots base and improve its electoral readiness.
