The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has temporarily halted its End-of-Second-Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 academic year, citing outstanding administrative and logistical issues.
The suspension took immediate effect, according to a notice issued by the Directorate of Academic Affairs on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The university said the decision was necessary to give management time to resolve matters affecting the smooth organisation and conduct of the examinations.
However, UHAS has assured students that the examinations will resume, with a revised timetable expected to be announced by Monday, August 17, 2026.
Students have consequently been asked to remain available and continue monitoring the university’s official communication platforms for information on the new examination schedule.
The suspension is expected to affect students who were already preparing for or writing their end-of-semester papers, although the university has not disclosed the specific administrative or logistical challenges behind the decision.
Management apologised to students and other members of the university community for the disruption and appealed for their cooperation while efforts are made to resolve the outstanding issues.
“Management regrets any inconvenience caused and appreciates the cooperation of all members and staff of the University Community,” the notice stated.
Students are therefore expected to await further communication from the university before making arrangements for the continuation of the examinations.
