Former President John Dramani Mahama has underscored unity, discipline, and determination as the cornerstone values required to rebuild Ghana, as he continues his nationwide “Thank You Tour.”
Speaking to a large gathering of chiefs and citizens at the Sunyani Jubilee Park in the Bono Region on Friday, Mahama said his vision for Ghana’s renewal—captured under the “Reset Agenda”—was already taking shape, with concrete plans laid out in the 2025 budget to stabilise the economy, stimulate job creation, and invest in small businesses.
“The work ahead is immense, but with unity, determination, and discipline, we will rebuild our beloved country,” Mahama declared, urging Ghanaians to rise above partisanship and come together for a common national purpose.
He assured the Bono Region of a pivotal role in this transformation process, particularly through investments in infrastructure, agricultural development, and rural upliftment. Describing the region as integral to his reset strategy, Mahama emphasized that local economies would be engines of national growth.
The former president used the durbar to highlight that his ongoing tour was not only to express gratitude but also to renew the bond of trust between him and the Ghanaian people.
“This tour is more than a gesture of appreciation—it is a reaffirmation of the trust you have placed in me, and of our shared determination to build a nation worthy of our children and future generations,” he said.
Mahama added that the national reset agenda aims to restore Ghana’s dignity, expand opportunities for all, and revive a shared national identity.
As part of his message, the former president called for a break from the politics of division, stating, “The time has come for us to think as Ghanaians first. It is our collective resolve—not party colours—that will determine our future.”
Mahama’s remarks signal a bold pitch to unite the nation behind a renewed vision for development, resilience, and inclusive progress.
