The Member of Parliament for Tano North Constituency, Dr Gideon Boako, has intensified efforts to improve access to clean drinking water by rolling out 45 new water projects across several communities in the constituency.
During an inspection tour of ongoing works, the MP explained that the initiative includes 25 mechanised boreholes and 20 hand pump boreholes, targeting long-standing water shortages in underserved areas.
He noted that the projects are at various stages of completion and expressed satisfaction with the quality of work being delivered by contractors, adding that the facilities will be handed over to communities immediately after completion.
Dr Boako reaffirmed that expanding access to basic social amenities, particularly potable water, remains central to his development agenda, promising sustained investment to improve living conditions across the constituency.
At Bafokrom, residents welcomed the commissioning of a mechanised borehole, describing it as a timely intervention that would ease their daily water struggles and improve household welfare.
