The Member of Parliament for Suaman Constituency, Frederick Addy, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Western North Region to close ranks and work collectively behind the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the 2028 general election.
He made the appeal during an engagement with constituency communication officers and party communicators drawn from the nine constituencies in the region, held at the NPP Regional office in Wiawso.
Mr Addy stressed that internal unity and coordinated messaging would be key to securing victory for the party in the next general election, describing Dr Bawumia as the right candidate to lead Ghana’s development agenda.
“Dr Bawumia is well positioned to transform this country and lead us to a path of growth and development, and would only need our support, so let’s all rally behind him for victory 2028,” he said.
He called on party members at all levels to strengthen cohesion within their structures, arguing that unity remains the most important ingredient for political success.
The Suaman MP also assured the communication directorate of his continued support, pledging to collaborate with them to effectively project the party’s message, particularly within the Western North Region.
Some communicators who spoke to the Ghana News Agency commended the MP for the engagement, describing it as timely and encouraging. They also urged him to sustain his support for grassroots mobilisation efforts to enhance the party’s visibility and strengthen its base in the constituency and region.
