The Member of Parliament for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has announced plans to improve infrastructure and logistics at Aburaman Senior High School as part of efforts to strengthen education delivery in the constituency.
Speaking at a durbar marking the climax of the Odumkwaa Festival in Abura Dunkwa, the MP pledged to provide a bus for Aburaman Senior High School to support student transportation for academic and extracurricular activities.
He also assured that all uncompleted projects under the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) at the school would be completed, enabling the institution to transition smoothly into a single-track system by the next academic year in September.
Mr. Kwakye Ofosu emphasized government’s continued commitment to improving educational infrastructure and providing logistical support to schools, noting that teachers and administrators remain key partners in national development.
He further commended staff of the school for their dedication and pledged continued collaboration to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
The Headmaster of Aburaman SHS, Isaac Ignatius Yankey, welcomed the announcement, describing the promised bus as a major relief that would reduce the financial burden of hiring transport for field trips, sports events, and other school activities.
He also appealed to alumni, philanthropists, and stakeholders to complement government efforts by supporting the school’s development needs.
The commitments were received as part of broader calls for improved infrastructure to support academic performance and student welfare in second-cycle institutions across the country.
