Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has once again reaffirmed his deep commitment to the Black Stars, making it clear that representing Ghana remains a top priority in his career. The Bournemouth striker, who has now earned 27 caps for the national team, insists that only injury could keep him from answering a national team call-up.
Semenyo played a key role in Ghana’s dominant 5-0 victory over Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, finding the back of the net in what was a commanding display at the Accra Sports Stadium. Reflecting on his journey with the Black Stars, he expressed gratitude for every opportunity to wear the national colors.
“It’s an honour; I always want to be part of the national team,” Semenyo told *SuperSport*. “The only thing that will ever stop me is obviously injury, but I always try to make myself available. It’s been a dream of mine from a young age, so anytime I get called up, it’s an honour.”
With his third international goal secured, Semenyo now turns his attention back to club football, as he looks to carry his fine form into Bournemouth’s crucial FA Cup clash against Manchester City this weekend. As he continues to shine for both club and country, the 24-year-old remains a key figure in Ghana’s attack, determined to make an impact on every stage he plays.
