The bail application filed on behalf of Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has been postponed after prosecutors requested more time to study the motion before responding in court.
The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party remains in custody while investigations by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) continue into matters linked to ongoing legal proceedings that have sparked widespread political discussion.
During the hearing, lawyers for Abronye DC formally moved the application seeking his release on bail. However, the prosecution appealed for a brief adjournment, explaining that additional time was needed to properly examine the details of the application and prepare a comprehensive response.
The court accepted the request and adjourned proceedings to tomorrow for the continuation of the bail hearing.
Although the prosecution did not directly oppose the bail request, the delay means Abronye DC will remain in custody pending the next sitting.
The case has drawn significant national attention in recent days, with political actors closely monitoring developments surrounding the outspoken opposition figure and the ongoing investigations.
