The Ministry of Education has appealed for public support in locating a Bole Senior High School teacher who is reportedly in hiding following allegations of misconduct that surfaced in a viral video.
Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, says the government is treating the matter as a priority and is working closely with security agencies to ensure the teacher is found and subjected to both legal and administrative processes.
Speaking on Eyewitness News on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Dr. Apaak disclosed that preliminary checks indicate the teacher is no longer at his known location, prompting efforts by law enforcement authorities to track him down.
According to the Deputy Minister, the Ministry is counting on the cooperation of the public to provide any information that could assist security agencies in apprehending the suspect.
“Our checks indicate that the teacher has gone into hiding. We know that law enforcement is also playing its part, and he is being sought after. If Ghanaians can assist law enforcement to apprehend him, it would be very helpful,” he stated.
Dr. Apaak emphasized that the Ministry remains committed to ensuring accountability and protecting the integrity of the education system, adding that no individual found culpable of misconduct would be shielded from disciplinary action.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has already interdicted the teacher pending the outcome of investigations, a move aimed at ensuring an impartial inquiry into the allegations.
The Ministry of Education and GES have assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that appropriate measures will be taken based on the findings.
The case has drawn significant public attention, with education authorities reiterating their commitment to safeguarding students and maintaining professional standards within schools across the country.
