The Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana has commenced construction of a major youth-focused infrastructure project in Ho as part of activities marking its 175th anniversary.
The project, described as one of the Church’s most ambitious developments in recent history, includes a modern anniversary hall and a youth resource centre aimed at empowering future generations.
Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church, Bliss Divine Agbeko, on Friday led senior church leaders to inspect the construction site at the Church’s headquarters in Ho.
He said the project signals a major step from planning to execution and reflects the Church’s long-term investment in youth development.
According to him, the facility will feature a 500-seat multi-purpose conference hall, digital media hubs, and vocational training suites.
The centre is expected to provide opportunities for mentorship, Christian education, and professional skills training for both church members and the wider community.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. Agbeko said the initiative seeks to address gaps in youth empowerment while preserving the Church’s legacy after nearly two centuries of existence.
He described the project as a lasting symbol of the Church’s commitment to future generations.
The Moderator disclosed that technical consultants had assured leadership of the quality and safety of the project but noted that timely completion would depend heavily on financial support.
As a result, the Church has launched an international fundraising appeal to mobilise resources for the completion of the project.
He added that the centre has also been designed with international broadcasting capabilities to position it as a future hub for youth leadership development on a global scale.
