Gabriel Lemboe has outlined an ambitious plan to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and rebuild party structures as he seeks to become the Oti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress.
Launching his campaign under the slogan “Built in the Struggle. Ready to Lead. Oti to the Next Level,” Mr. Lemboe said revitalising constituency and branch-level structures would be central to his leadership agenda if elected.
He argued that stronger grassroots networks remain critical to improving the party’s electoral performance and maintaining close engagement with voters across the Oti Region.
According to him, his years of service within the NDC have prepared him for the role and given him the experience needed to lead the party into its next phase of growth.
Mr. Lemboe said his leadership would be guided by service, discipline, unity, and loyalty to the core principles of the party.
He identified internal unity and stronger organisational systems as key pillars needed to reposition the NDC in the region ahead of future elections.
He stressed that empowering branch executives and grassroots organisers with the necessary resources would improve voter outreach and strengthen the party’s responsiveness to community concerns.
“Who leads Oti? Oti Samora!” his campaign message declared, as he pledged to work closely with regional executives, constituency leaders, and branch members to advance the party’s objectives.
Mr. Lemboe also promised a leadership style built on inclusiveness, open communication, and active involvement of party members in decision-making processes.
He added that regular stakeholder consultations and targeted support for grassroots structures would help improve morale and coordination across the party.
The National Democratic Congress is preparing for its regional executive elections as part of efforts to strengthen internal structures ahead of future national contests.
