James Kwasi Ofori-led organization combines healthcare outreach, youth entrepreneurship and philanthropy to improve lives across Ghana

By Christian Ahodie Yaw

At a time when many young people continue to grapple with unemployment while vulnerable communities face challenges accessing essential healthcare and social support, Go Networking Organization LBG is seeking to make a difference through a combination of healthcare interventions, practical skills training, entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
Founded in 2025, the non-profit organization has made community development its central mission, with a focus on transforming lives and strengthening communities through initiatives designed to respond to some of the pressing social and economic challenges facing people across Ghana.
The organization is led by James Kwasi Ofori, a businessman and philanthropist whose community-development activities have also seen him serve as President of the Tema Oak Lions Club, a fully chartered club under Lions Clubs International, District 418 Ghana.
TAKING HEALTHCARE CLOSER TO UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES
One of the major areas of intervention for Go Networking Organization LBG is healthcare.
The organization has spearheaded health campaigns in underserved and remote communities, particularly areas where residents experience limited access to medical resources.
The initiative seeks to bring healthcare support closer to people who may otherwise have difficulty accessing essential services, while contributing to improved health awareness and community wellbeing.
For the organization, healthcare intervention is not simply about responding to illness but also about helping communities become healthier and better positioned to participate in social and economic activities.
EQUIPPING YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SKILLS TO CREATE THEIR OWN JOBS
Beyond healthcare, Go Networking Organization LBG has placed considerable emphasis on youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.
The organization believes that practical skills can provide young people with opportunities to create livelihoods rather than depending entirely on the limited number of formal employment opportunities available.
Its training programmes have covered areas including yoghurt production, soap and disinfectant manufacturing, ice cream preparation and carbonated beverage production.
The practical nature of the training is intended to give participants skills that can be applied directly to business.
Rather than stopping at training, the organization seeks to encourage beneficiaries to turn their newly acquired skills into viable enterprises.
FROM TRAINING TO REGISTERED BUSINESSES
One of the encouraging developments emerging from the organization’s youth empowerment programme is that several beneficiaries have successfully registered their businesses.
These beneficiaries are now producing goods for the domestic market, contributing to local economic activity and demonstrating how practical skills training can become a pathway to entrepreneurship.
The development also highlights the potential of vocational training as a tool for tackling youth unemployment.
For beneficiaries, the opportunity to establish their own businesses can mean not only personal income but also the possibility of creating employment for others as their enterprises grow.
EXTENDING A HELPING HAND TO VULNERABLE CHILDREN
Go Networking Organization LBG’s work extends beyond healthcare and economic empowerment.
The organization also undertakes philanthropic initiatives, including donations aimed at supporting underprivileged homes and children in orphanages across Ghana.
Through these interventions, the organization seeks to contribute to improved living conditions for children and vulnerable people who require additional support.
The philanthropic component of the organization’s work reflects its broader philosophy that community development must include both economic empowerment and compassion for society’s most vulnerable.
VOLUNTEERS AND PARTNERS DRIVING THE MISSION
Go Networking Organization LBG also relies heavily on the commitment of volunteers and partners who share its vision of charitable service and community upliftment.
The organization recognizes that sustainable community development cannot be achieved by one individual or institution alone.
Its model therefore encourages people who are passionate about social impact to contribute their time, resources, expertise and networks towards improving the lives of others.
Through these partnerships and volunteer efforts, the organization hopes to expand its reach and make its interventions available to more communities.
JAMES KWASI OFORI’S COMMUNITY SERVICE
At the centre of the organization’s activities is its leader, James Kwasi Ofori, a businessman and philanthropist with a strong interest in community service.
His role as President of the Tema Oak Lions Club, under Lions Clubs International, District 418 Ghana, also reflects his involvement in organized service and charitable activities.
Under his leadership, Go Networking Organization LBG is building a model that combines service to communities, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
BUILDING A CULTURE OF SELF-RELIANCE
For Go Networking Organization LBG, the long-term goal goes beyond providing temporary assistance.
The organization seeks to help people acquire the knowledge, skills and opportunities required to become more self-reliant.
Its youth programmes demonstrate this approach by moving beneficiaries from training towards actual enterprise development, while its healthcare and philanthropic activities focus on supporting vulnerable communities.
The combination of these interventions presents a broader development model in which healthier communities, skilled young people, viable small businesses and social responsibility work together to create stronger societies.
THE ROAD AHEAD
As the organization continues to expand its activities, Go Networking Organization LBG hopes to reach more underserved communities, train more young people and support additional beneficiaries to establish sustainable businesses.
Its journey, though relatively young, points to the growing importance of community-based organizations in addressing social and economic challenges.
With the support of volunteers, development partners, businesses and other stakeholders, the organization could further scale its healthcare campaigns, vocational training and philanthropic interventions.
For James Kwasi Ofori and the team behind Go Networking Organization LBG, the vision is straightforward: to transform lives, empower people with practical opportunities and strengthen communities through service.
And as more beneficiaries move from receiving support to creating businesses and contributing to the domestic economy, the organization’s story is increasingly becoming one of empowerment rather than dependency—turning skills into livelihoods and compassion into community impact.
