The Government of Ghana has announced that all national flags, which were lowered to half-mast in honour of victims of the recent military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region, should now be restored to full mast.
According to the directive, the order took effect immediately after the conclusion of the state funeral for the fallen officers, held over the weekend.
By returning the flags to their normal position, government officials explained, the nation has formally ended the official mourning period, while still holding in high regard the sacrifice of the deceased.
The solemn funeral was attended by government representatives, security chiefs, political leaders, and bereaved families, who paid their final respects to the victims, described as gallant patriots who served the nation with dedication.
While the mourning period has ended, tributes from citizens and institutions continue to flow, reflecting the profound loss felt across the country.
