The Jospong Group of Companies has reinforced its long-standing commitment to faith-driven leadership and community development with the completion and dedication of a major worship complex at Trassacco in Accra.
Led by the Group’s Executive Chairman, Elder Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, and his wife, Dr. Mrs. Adelaide Siaw Agyepong, the company financed and delivered the Pentecost International Worship Centre–Trassacco, a modern 2,500-seat facility designed to serve multiple congregations of the Church of Pentecost.
The project, which also includes a fully furnished mission house for the resident minister, underscores how the Group’s corporate philosophy integrates spiritual values with social responsibility.
Corporate Values Translated into Community Assets
Unlike traditional corporate social responsibility initiatives focused on infrastructure or health, the PIWC–Trassacco project reflects the Jospong Group’s belief that faith and moral leadership are foundational to national and institutional development.
The Church of Pentecost’s immediate past Chairman, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, acknowledged this distinctive corporate faith culture by instituting a corporate chaplaincy within the Group—an initiative that later provided the spiritual framework for the construction of the worship centre.
The project was implemented under the supervision of Chaplain Pastor Daniel Danso, whose tenure from 2018 to 2025 helped translate the Group’s internal spiritual practices into a permanent community facility.
Built for Today’s Ministry Needs
The worship complex was designed to meet the evolving demands of modern ministry and church administration. In addition to the main auditorium, the facility includes a children’s worship space, digital library, in-house media studio, and administrative offices.
Supporting infrastructure such as elevators, central air-conditioning, backup power systems, advanced security installations, and fire safety systems were incorporated to ensure accessibility, safety, and sustainability.
Supporting Ministry Beyond the Pulpit
Complementing the church building, the Agyepong family also provided a four-bedroom, fully furnished residence for the resident minister, located close to the Jospong Group premises. The gesture reflects the Group’s belief that effective ministry is strengthened when spiritual leaders are provided with stable and dignified living conditions.
Church Leadership Commends Gesture, Issues Spiritual Reminder
At the dedication service, Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye, expressed appreciation to the Agyepong family and the Jospong Group, describing the project as a significant contribution to the Church’s mission.
He, however, reminded the congregation that the essence of the church transcends physical infrastructure, stressing that the true presence of God resides in the believer rather than in buildings.
A Legacy Rooted in Gratitude
In his remarks, Dr. Siaw Agyepong framed the project as an expression of gratitude rather than accomplishment, attributing the Group’s growth and personal success to divine direction. He also paid tribute to his wife, Dr. Adelaide Siaw Agyepong, acknowledging her support from the earliest days of their journey.
The entire project was privately funded by the Agyepong family and the Jospong Group of Companies.
The dedication ceremony attracted high-level attendance, including the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, First Deputy Speaker Bernard Ahiafor, Members of Parliament, traditional leaders, business executives, and staff of the Jospong Group, reflecting the broader national interest in the intersection of faith, leadership, and corporate influence.
