Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito is set to face his former team, Dreams FC, in a highly anticipated Ghana Premier League clash at the Baba Yara Stadium. Despite having led Dreams to impressive achievements—including a CAF Confederations Cup semifinal appearance and an MTN FA Cup title just two months ago—Zito remains fully committed to his current role with Kotoko.
Speaking ahead of the match, Zito emphasized his professionalism and dedication to Kotoko’s objectives. “I’m a professional coach and I belong to where I work, so there is no emotional issue. My focus is on beating them and achieving our league targets,” he stated.
Currently fourth in the league with 51 points, Kotoko trails leaders Nations FC by just three points, making the upcoming fixture a crucial step in their pursuit of the title. Zito’s focus on results over sentiment highlights his determination to propel Kotoko to success, regardless of the opponent.
