President John Mahama will today, January 7, pause official business to reflect on his administration’s first year in power, leading a **non-denominational thanksgiving service** at the forecourt of the Jubilee House in Accra.
The early-morning event, slated for 8:00 a.m., is expected to bring together a broad cross-section of Ghanaian society, including religious leaders, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic community, and other invited guests.
Organised under the theme “Resetting. Rebuilding. Renewing.”, the ceremony is intended to highlight the government’s emphasis on national unity and gratitude for the relative stability recorded over the past year. It also serves as a platform for the administration to restate its commitment to rebuilding state institutions and pursuing inclusive governance as it enters its second year.
The thanksgiving service forms part of a series of activities to commemorate President Mahama’s first anniversary in office, offering a symbolic moment of reflection on the journey so far and a recommitment to the vision guiding the administration’s next phase.
