National Democratic Congress has launched its Teachers’ Forum in the Western North Region as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand the party’s support base ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Speaking at the launch, Prince Abubakar said the forum would unite teachers who support the NDC to actively promote the party’s policies, achievements, and development agenda within their communities.
According to him, teachers occupy influential positions in society and could play a critical role in political education, voter engagement, and community mobilisation during election periods.
Mr Abubakar explained that the forum aimed at building a strong and organised network of teachers capable of supporting the party’s activities at the grassroots level across the region.
He expressed optimism that the initiative would help consolidate the NDC’s presence in the Western North Region and contribute to the party’s electoral fortunes in future national elections.
Some members of the forum also told the Ghana News Agency that they were committed to revitalising party structures at the branch level to help maintain the NDC’s political dominance.
