The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed Mrs. Mabel Akuvi Lawson Apenuvor as its Deputy Director of Protocol, bringing to the position more than two decades of experience in administration, public service and political party operations.

Mrs. Lawson Apenuvor, an experienced administrative professional, has served the NPP for over 16 years, contributing to the party’s administrative operations, organizational activities and grassroots engagements.

Her appointment reflects her extensive background in administrative management, communication, protocol-related responsibilities and political mobilization.

Since September 2010, Mrs. Lawson Apenuvor has served as an Administrative Officer of the NPP, providing administrative support and contributing to the smooth coordination of the party’s activities.

Before joining the NPP’s administrative establishment, she worked at the National Security Council from 2001 to 2009, where she served as a Front Desk Officer at the Office of the President during the administration of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

Her eight years of service at the presidency provided her with valuable experience in front-office management, official communication, administrative coordination and interactions within a high-level government environment.

Beyond her professional administrative career, Mrs. Lawson Apenuvor has been actively involved in grassroots political activities, community engagement and volunteer mobilization.

Notably, she was once appointed by former President John Agyekum Kufuor to serve as a polling agent at the Immaculate Conception Junior Secondary School in Kpando, within the North Dayi Constituency of the Volta Region.

The assignment formed part of her longstanding involvement in the NPP’s grassroots political activities and demonstrated her commitment to the party’s electoral processes.

Mrs. Lawson Apenuvor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Wisconsin International University College and a certificate in Spanish.

Her professional competencies include administration, front-office management, communication, community engagement and grassroots mobilization.

With her extensive experience in both government and political party administration, Mrs. Lawson Apenuvor is expected to bring valuable institutional knowledge, organizational expertise and administrative competence to her new role as Deputy Director of Protocol.

Her appointment marks another milestone in a career characterized by public service, political commitment and longstanding dedication to the New Patriotic Party.
