NPP Aspirant Calls for Grassroots Unity and Engagement as Bantama Prepares for 2028 Elections

An aspiring Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bantama Constituency, Emmanuel Nsafoa, has called for stronger grassroots engagement and internal unity as the party positions itself for the 2028 general elections.

He argued that sustained interaction with party members at the base level, along with timely responses to their concerns, would be key to rebuilding trust and strengthening the NPP’s electoral prospects.

Mr. Nsafoa made the remarks during a community engagement at Abrepo in Kumasi, where he donated a Super Bass radio transmitter valued at GH¢600 to a group of artisans and mechanics.

The donation was made after the group requested support during one of his campaign visits, highlighting what he described as the importance of listening to constituents and addressing practical needs.

The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting that the transmitter would enable them to follow live commentary of Black Stars matches and other sporting events, while also boosting their sense of national pride.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nsafoa stressed that leadership goes beyond political ambition and should focus on solving everyday challenges faced by citizens and party supporters.

He said his outreach efforts were aimed at strengthening the relationship between the party and its grassroots base, which he described as central to the NPP’s political success.

According to him, consistent engagement with youth groups, artisans, and other community organisations would help expand the party’s support base ahead of the next election cycle.

He further emphasised that unity within the party remains essential for achieving electoral victory in 2028, urging members to set aside internal differences and work toward a common goal.

Leader of the artisans, Mr. Alex Acheampong, thanked Mr. Nsafoa for the donation and praised him for responding quickly to their request.

He also encouraged political actors to maintain regular contact with community groups beyond election seasons in order to build lasting relationships.
