The New Patriotic Party is sharpening its grassroots strategy in the Krachi East Constituency as internal contestation builds ahead of the 2028 general elections.
At the center of this renewed push is Abramani Alhassan, who has announced his bid for the position of Nasara Organizer, outlining plans to reposition the party’s outreach within Zongo and settler communities.
Speaking in Dambai, Mr. Alhassan framed his ambition as part of a broader effort to strengthen the party’s base by energizing one of its key grassroots structures. He emphasized that the Nasara Wing must evolve into a more strategic mobilization force capable of driving engagement and voter education in underserved communities.
His campaign message centers on youth empowerment, welfare initiatives, and closer collaboration with Islamic clerics, traditional leaders, and local opinion influencers—groups he believes are critical to expanding the party’s appeal.
Mr. Alhassan also stressed unity within party ranks, arguing that cohesion among members will be essential for electoral success in the coming years. He has pledged an inclusive and transparent leadership style, should he secure the mandate from delegates.
The contest forms part of a wider internal reorganization by the NPP, with constituency-level elections expected later this year as the party begins early groundwork toward the 2028 polls.
