Mr Biiyien Janamah, popularly known as “Chairman BA,” has officially entered the race for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairmanship position in Tano North, outlining a vision centered on party unity, reorganisation and electoral success ahead of the 2028 general election.
The current Second Vice Chairman of the party in the constituency submitted his nomination forms as the NPP prepares to elect new constituency executives in July 2026 as part of its ongoing restructuring efforts following the 2024 elections.
Speaking after filing his nomination at Duayaw-Nkwanta, Mr Janamah said his decision to contest was motivated by a desire to strengthen the party’s grassroots base and make it more appealing to undecided voters.
According to him, the NPP requires dynamic and forward-looking leadership capable of reuniting members and restoring confidence among supporters as it prepares for the next electoral cycle.
He stressed that rebuilding the party’s structures and implementing effective strategies would be critical to improving the NPP’s electoral fortunes and positioning it for a return to power.
Mr Janamah identified unity as a key ingredient for success, urging party faithful in the constituency to put aside differences and work collectively toward a common goal.
He called on members and supporters to embrace reconciliation and support ongoing efforts to reorganise the party at all levels.
The chairmanship hopeful also appealed to constituency executives and grassroots activists to actively promote the vision of the party’s 2028 presidential candidate, former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Expressing confidence in Dr Bawumia’s leadership credentials, Mr Janamah pledged to work diligently to help mobilise support and contribute to the party’s efforts to reclaim political power in the next general election.
His declaration adds to growing political activity within the NPP as the party undertakes internal reforms and prepares for leadership contests aimed at repositioning it for the future.
