More than 100 people have so far picked nomination forms to contest various polling station executive positions in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The constituency has officially opened nominations for key polling station roles, including chairperson, secretary, treasurer, organiser, women organiser, communications officer and electoral affairs officer.
Mr Stephen Boateng, the constituency chairman, said the nomination process would remain open for five days to give interested members enough time to file.
He explained that the constituency’s 196 polling stations had been grouped into eight zones to ensure a smooth and fair process for all aspirants.
According to him, the arrangement is intended to create equal opportunities for party members who wish to serve at the grassroots level.
Mr Boateng said the constituency executives were committed to strictly following directives issued by the national leadership of the party regarding the exercise.
He also appealed to contestants and party members to cooperate and maintain peace throughout the process to ensure a successful election.
