The Ministers for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and Local Government, Religious and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, are scheduled to brief the media next week as part of the ongoing Government Accountability Series.
The announcement was made by the Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, during the maiden 2026 Government Accountability Series press conference held at the Presidency in Accra.
According to Mr. Kwakye Ofosu, the two ministers will independently account for their stewardship over the past year, outlining key policies, programmes and challenges within their respective sectors, while responding to questions from journalists.
He explained that the Government Accountability Series, being coordinated by the Presidency Communications Bureau, is designed to promote openness, transparency and public trust by allowing citizens and the media to directly engage government officials on their performance.
The upcoming briefings are expected to shed light on developments in trade, agribusiness, industrialisation, local governance, religious affairs and chieftaincy matters, as government continues efforts to strengthen accountability and public communication.
