An unsuccessful New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairmanship aspirant in the Ho Central Constituency, Mr Bright Doh, has pledged to support the newly elected constituency executives as the party begins preparations towards the 2028 general election.
Mr Doh, who led Team Bright Doh in the July 11 constituency executive elections, congratulated the winners and urged party members to put the internal contest behind them and focus on rebuilding the party.
In a statement issued after the elections, Mr Doh acknowledged the outcome of the polls, saying his team accepted the results while remaining committed to the broader objective of strengthening the NPP.
He expressed appreciation to his supporters for their dedication, resilience and commitment throughout the campaign, describing their participation as an important contribution to the party’s democratic process.
“Elections come and go, but the mission remains. Thank you for your dedication, your time, and your belief. We may have lost this battle, but we haven’t lost our voices. Let us stay united, stay engaged, and get ready for what’s next,” he said.
Mr Doh congratulated Mr Michael Dzadey on his election as Deputy Constituency Secretary, expressing confidence that he would serve the party effectively in his new role.
He also extended his congratulations to Mr Prince Opoku and his team following their victory, assuring them of Team Bright Doh’s readiness to collaborate with the new leadership to advance the party’s agenda.
The former aspirant stressed that unity among party members would be crucial to rebuilding the NPP’s structures and improving its chances ahead of the 2028 elections.
He urged members to prioritise the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions and work together in an atmosphere of respect, cooperation and tolerance.
Mr Doh reaffirmed Team Bright Doh’s commitment to supporting the new constituency executives, saying the party’s future success would depend on the ability of all stakeholders to unite after the internal elections.
