Former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General Kwabena Adu-Boahene remains firm in his innocence despite facing accusations of embezzling $7 million in state funds.
Following a court ruling on March 28 that reduced his bail from GHS120 million to GHS80 million, Adu-Boahene told journalists he was confident of being exonerated.
He and his wife, Angela Adjei Boateng—also on GHS80 million bail—are accused of laundering funds through real estate. Prosecutors allege she attempted to destroy evidence on the night of his arrest.
Both must report to EOCO three times weekly and require permission for travel. While the defense argues the bail conditions are excessive, prosecutors claim the couple is a flight risk.
