The Member of Parliament for Anloga Constituency, Mr. Richard Kwame Sefe, has taken a major step to improve educational infrastructure at Volta Senior High School (VOLTASCO) in Agbledomi, announcing plans to rehabilitate dilapidated classroom blocks.
The initiative, aimed at enhancing the learning environment for both students and staff, forms part of Mr. Sefe’s broader strategy to strengthen education delivery in the constituency. Speaking during an educational tour on Tuesday, he highlighted the critical role of quality learning spaces in fostering academic excellence.
“These improvements are aimed at creating a more conducive and inspiring environment for teaching and learning, because our students deserve the very best as they pursue their academic goals,” he said.
During the visit, Mr. Sefe met with the Headteacher and school management to discuss urgent needs and strategic interventions to boost institutional development and academic outcomes. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting both infrastructure upgrades and academic growth, stressing that education remains a top priority for his office.
Since VOLTASCO was absorbed into the public education system in 2016, the school has benefited from increased resources and the deployment of trained professional teachers, leading to improved teaching and learning outcomes. The institution currently offers four main programmes: Visual Arts, Home Economics, General Arts, and Business.
The MP’s rehabilitation project has been welcomed by education stakeholders in the Anloga District, who describe it as a timely intervention that will help sustain academic excellence and motivate students and staff alike.
Mr. Sefe has a consistent record of supporting VOLTASCO, including donations of cash, sports equipment, and other items ahead of the Southern Zonal Inter-Schools Sports Festival. He emphasized that the new rehabilitation work will not only address physical infrastructure concerns but also boost morale and reinforce a shared vision of educational excellence in Anlo.
“With such initiatives underway, the Anlo constituency continues to position itself as a growing hub for quality education, driven by strategic leadership and community-focused development. Together, we are building a stronger Anlo,” he concluded.
