President of the Czech Republic, H.E. Petr Pavel, has described Ghana as a key strategic ally in advancing international cooperation, citing the country’s democratic credentials, economic promise, and regional stability.
Speaking at the Czech-Ghana Business Cooperation Seminar on Wednesday, April 8, 2025, at the Mövenpick Hotel in Accra, President Pavel underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral ties with Ghana in critical sectors such as agriculture, satellite technology, and food processing.
“Ghana is a natural partner to the Czech Republic,” he affirmed. “It is a country with high democratic standards, a strong economy, abundant natural resources, and favorable agricultural conditions.”
President Pavel praised Ghana’s stability and leadership in West Africa, adding that the country’s resilience made it a beacon of hope amid global uncertainty.
He stressed that deeper cooperation between the two nations could pave the way for creating “islands of stability and goodwill” in today’s unpredictable world.
His three-day state visit, which began on Tuesday, April 8, reflects the Czech Republic’s growing interest in fostering diplomatic and economic ties with Ghana.
The seminar served as a platform for both nations to explore investment opportunities and build long-term partnerships aimed at mutual prosperity.
