The Ghana Police Service has officially declared Dr. David Yevugah, a former Human Resource Manager of KEDA Ceramics Ghana Ltd, a wanted person following his failure to comply with bail conditions tied to an ongoing fraud investigation.
Dr. Yevugah, who previously held a top HR role at the ceramics firm in the Western Region’s Shama District, is accused of orchestrating fraudulent payments to a third-party entity, JR Consult, for services allegedly never rendered. Internal auditors flagged the suspicious transactions, prompting police involvement and his arrest in 2024.
After being granted police enquiry bail, Dr. Yevugah reportedly fled Ghana, abandoning his legal obligations and those who stood surety for him, including his wife. Authorities believe he is currently hiding in the United Kingdom, where he has launched public attacks on his former employer.
While in hiding, Dr. Yevugah submitted petitions to the President and other state agencies, accusing KEDA Ceramics of tax evasion and failure to remit pension contributions. However, the company insists the claims are false and retaliatory, arising from his failed attempt to secure a severance package despite an active criminal probe.
KEDA Ceramics, through its legal representative Mr. Peter Hayibor, has strongly denied all accusations, stating that the company remains fully compliant with statutory obligations, as confirmed by external audits. The company further accused Dr. Yevugah of breaching the Data Protection Act by unlawfully accessing and stealing sensitive internal data before his resignation.
The police have now published his wanted notice and are appealing to the public for assistance in locating Dr. Yevugah.
Officials warn that his actions not only obstruct justice but raise broader concerns about corporate data security and the abuse of access by senior staff.
