Attorney General and Minister of Justice Dr. Dominic Ayine has disclosed that more than GH¢8 million was deposited into an Ezwich account registered to the former Director-General of the NSA, Osei-Assibey Antwi.
Addressing the press on June 13 in Accra, Dr. Ayine confirmed that during the 2022/2023 service year, a total of GH¢8,256,000 was credited to an Ezwich account bearing the number 1177042059, linked directly to Mr. Osei-Assibey Antwi. Further investigations revealed that the former Director-General personally received these funds.
The Attorney General also stated that an Ezwich card associated with the account was recovered from Osei-Assibey Antwi’s residence during a search operation conducted by the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) taskforce.
This revelation adds to the growing body of evidence under investigation, highlighting concerns over the management of public funds within the NSA. Authorities are expected to pursue further legal action as they continue to scrutinize the full extent of the alleged financial irregularities.
