Former Ayawaso Central MP, Henry Quartey, has publicly condemned the conduct of Ghana’s National Security, Police, and Military during a recent disaster response, claiming he was forcibly removed from the scene despite his intention to assist.
Quartey described the incident as “disgraceful” and accused authorities of politicizing emergency operations. “You are playing politics during disaster,” he said, expressing frustration over being “sacked like a goat” while trying to be present at the affected area.
The former lawmaker’s comments highlight tensions between political figures and security forces during crisis management, raising questions about coordination and neutrality in disaster response efforts.
